About the Business
Paul Barron established the workshop & woodstore in 2007 inside a former Cornish Blacksmith's forge, (built from cob and stone over 300 years ago) in Lanreath, near Looe in South-East Cornwall. In 2011 the business & workshop moved to a new location in Lanreath. Paul uses local responsibly sourced timber with a combination of the best of traditional techniques and modern woodworking machinery.
Paul is passionate about wood, its beauty, tactile form, sustainability and distinctive appearance, especially solid hardwood. Hardwood has definite stature and brings an undeniable charm to any setting. It is durable, easy to care for and will last a lifetime.
